The VRSF Race Intercooler (FMIC) for the N55 535i family is the benchmark cooling upgrade for the F10 platform. Its ultra-high-density bar-and-plate core holds roughly 102% more volume than the OEM unit, with cast one-piece CNC'd aluminium end tanks for low pressure drop. VRSF's own testing shows charge temps rising only a couple of degrees over a hard pull versus dozens for the stock cooler — eliminating heat soak on repeat pulls and track sessions. Fits the 535i (F10/F11), 640i (F06/F12/F13) and X5/X6 35i (F15/F16) using OEM mounting points. This is the F10-platform part; the 3/4 Series uses a different VRSF SKU.
