The ZF 8-speed in N55 BMWs is a superb gearbox held back by conservative factory TCU calibration. The xHP TCU Flash Combo (Flash License + Stage 1/2/3 map pack) unlocks firmer, faster shifts, raised torque limits to match a Stage 2 engine, raised shift points, and launch behaviour — flashed over OBD with the xHP app and a supported adapter, fully revertable to stock. This is the standard 8-Speed variant (the correct one for the F10 535i's ZF 8HP45); the separate "8-Speed (G-Series/Supra)" variant is for newer 8HP51-76 gearboxes.
